What Animals Eat Opossums?

One quality of opossums is similar to the kangaroos; the mother opossums carry their child in a pouch. There are different specifies of opossums that are found to be in north and South America. Although they live in open habitat, they can found to be in urban areas where people fed them, and they get their food by themselves. They usually like to live near water areas, or where they can get water easily.  Female opossums can give birth to more than 15 babies and carry them in their pouch for a certain time where they live to grow and to feed their mothers.  Opossums are considered as one of the biggest reasons to carry rabies, the risk of having rabbis is more than all the other pest animals, this is the reason people do not like to see them in their houses. The availability of opossums into your house can become a reason for serious diseases.  Opossums are omnivores; they love to eat food like vegetables, insects, or any dead animals; they also like to eat the food which is left by people. Unlike other animals, opossums also have predators.  There is the following list of opossum's predators:

Hawks and eagle 
Although hawk is the bird and likes to live in the air, they have sharp eye-side and ability to target theopossums. When they find opossums within an open area, they will definitely get the advantage of this opportunity.  Unlike hawks, the eagle is considered as opossum's predator; they have sharp eye-side within 2 miles so they can target the opossums very easily.  There are also other birds that will surely take advantage of if they ever got the chance to eat opossums. 

Dog
The dog is considered as the worst enemy of opossums no matter the opossums are within the open area or on a closed place like home; they would like to prey them on getting an opportunity. 

Foxes
A single fox can prey opossums easily; they like to eat both young and adult opossums. Both live in the same habitat, so there are chances they would prey them. 

Human
The availability of opossums into your house is like you have welcomed the disease inside your house. Due to their bad odor and poop, the human does not like them to be in their houses. To get rid of them, they use the opossum's trap, or they can also use poison if they are available in large quantities.  They also like to hunt for v to get meat. As opossums are available in urban areas, so there are chances, they maybe got killed by a car while running or crossing the road.

Owl
As all of we know, owl stay active at the night time, so by chance, if an opossums get out of their place and owl to have seen them, they are going to prey them in no time.  Other animals or birds that are considered as the enemy and predators of opossums are snakes and cats.
